Website Update: We Have a Comments Section!

Why? Because I thought it would be a cool challenge to implement...and it certainly was.
I implemented a comments section! I wanted to see how challening it would be. It took me all evening 😑 But it was worth it!
A second benefit of doing this is so that I can receive feedback from you more readily. I want your experience here to be the best it can be. If you feel something could be better, let me know. Or, if I've helped you in some small way, definitely let me know!
Also, I believe in anonymity 👻
And by that, I mean your right to privacy. That's why I chose Cusdis for the comment hosting service. Because they don't track you, I don't track you, and there's no account creation to join in on the conversation. I refuse to create another account for the sole purpose of contributing to a comments section on some website. I will show you the same respect.
I also went with Cusdis because I could modify it to match my website. Is it perfect? No. I would love to be able to dress it up in better CSS, but it's close enough, and I was able to modify it enough, that I can say it looks like it belongs there 🥲
There shall be no ads
You may notice there are no ads. This was a HUGE factor. I refuse to have any ads on my website, unless I explicitly want and put them there! Cusdis has a tiny little link at the bottom of the comment box. This is acceptable, as I am proud of this section and happy to give them their credit and exposure. I also paid the hefty 12 dollars for an entire year of the Pro service 🤯
How Comments Will Work
Tell me how you really feel. Go ahead, it's anonymous. The only power I hold is the ability to decline comments that shouldn't be posted on the site. First-time commenters must be approved, to reduce spamming. This is a bummer if you post anonymously every time, but still not a big deal. So give it a shot, and let me know what else I can do to improve the site! I know I need to post more content - that takes a considerable amount of time. I'm working on it!
